چکیده
The aim of this study was to determine the most common causative agents otomycosis in Duhok city, Iraq; and subsequently their sensitivity commonly prescribed Drugs. From August 2021 till October 2021, a total 90 patients (46 females 44 males) who attended outpatient clinic ear, nose throat (ENT) department at Azadi teaching hospital; were clinically examined for mycotic otitis. Ear debris collected by sterile swabs transferred laboratory direct microscopic macroscopic examination culturing on sabouraud dextrose agar, potato agar CHROM Agar Candida. Antifungal drugs dissolved with (dimethyl sulfoxide) DMSO used evaluation antifungal well diffusion method against namely; Fluconazole, Itraconazole, Terbinafine, Nystatin, Amphotericin B, Clotrimazole. In positive fungal infections found 88 (97.8%) samples, it more among that aged 40 49 years. Mycological revealed isolation 24 genera species one variety. isolates Candida (88.9%), followed Aspergillus (28.8%) non-identified yeast (25%), Penicillium (8.9%). Among identified species, krusei (44.4%) albicans (16.7%) niger (15.6%) predominant isolates.

Molecular identification and in-vitro antifungal susceptibility testing of Candida species isolated from patients with onychomycosis
Background and Purpose: Candida species are the most opportunistic fungi affecting the nails and resulting in onychomycosis. In this study, we identified and evaluated in-vitro susceptibility of the recovered isolates against fluconazole (FLC), voriconazole (VRC), and clotrimazole (CLT) using the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) M27-A3 document. Materials and Method...

متن کاملIdentification and Antifungal Susceptibility Testing of Candida species isolated from Bronchoalveolar Lavage sampl
The frequency of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, particularly by Candida species, has increased in recent years. Colonization by Candida species in respiratory tract in susceptible hosts may play an important role to precede disseminated candidiasis. This study was designed to identify Candida species from bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples and determination of antifungal sus...
متن کاملCandidiasis in Pediatrics; Identification and In vitro Antifungal Susceptibility of the Clinical Isolates
Background Candida species are normal microflora of oral cavity, vagina, and gastrointestinal tract. They are the third most prevalent cause of pediatric health care–associated bloodstream fungal infection. This study aimed to provide an epidemiological feature of candidiasis and also presents an antifungal susceptibility profile of clinical Candida iso...
